Position  : Sr Core Java Developer

Location: NYC (NJ/NY/PA/DE/MD/VA only)

Job Summary & Responsibilities: 

The role consists of being a senior developer of N-tier applications with extensive experience developing Java based middle tiers. The individual is responsible for designing and implementing highly optimized (CPU and memory efficient) service oriented solutions using proprietary and industry standard message oriented middlewares. Application Developers rely on the individual to quickly prototype, profile, and optimize new and existing systems. 

Required Skills/Experience 

   --- 8+ years overall development experience 

   --- Superior core Java skills 

   --- Extensive experience with multithreaded applications (JSE) 

   --- Extensive experience with SOA implemented over TCP/UDP 

   --- Experience with Linux/Unix Shell scripting 

   --- Familiarity with Ant, Maven or similar build environments 

   --- Moderate experience with Databases 

   --- Financial Services Experience is NOT required.  

   --- The candidates primary skill set should NOT be J2EE based (JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere) 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

   --- Experience writing and maintaining Perl/Python scripts 

   --- Experience with profilers and jvm tools 

   --- Familiarity with Protocol Buffers 

   --- Experience with YAML based code generation 

   --- Experience with .Net/C# 

   --- Experience with real time market data protocols such as RMDS and RV 

   --- Windows PowerShell
