Job Title : PL/SQL Developer,
Location : Philadelphia, PA,
Duration : 12+Months Contract.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
3+ years of experience with data modeling with Logical and Physical database layout.
5+ years of experience directly working with SQL, PL/SQL, PERL/Unix Shell, tuning and debugging.
7+ years of experience with SQL Server and Oracle dba.
Minimum of 3 years with Oracle Database backups using RMAN / Manual scripting.
Minimum of 2 years experience in ETL.
Experience with Backup and Recovery mechanism required.
Must demonstrate the ability to suggest methodologies and standards for Backup/Recovery and Upgrades.
Preferred:
Demonstrates excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills
Exhibits the ability and tenacity to resolve open issues
Efficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio)
Fortune 500 or Telecom Experience
Must Have Skills:
PL/ SQL Development (Min. Experience of 5-8 yrs).
Experience with SQL Server db (Min. Experience of 5-8 yrs).
Experience with Oracle db (Min. Experience of 2-5 yrs).
Experience with database administration (Min. Experience of 2-5 yrs).
Nice to Have Skills:
ETL (Min. Experience of 2-5 yrs)
Fortune 500 experience (Min. Experience of 1-2 yrs)
Daily Responsibilities:
Database Programming - Review the requirements and design the data objects and modeling.
Database Programming - Writing Queries, Stored procedures, Sequences and Triggers.
Database Administration - Setup the database and define the ETL for data loading from external data sources.
Database Administration - execution of change controls, routine maintenance, SQL scripting, Unix Shell scripting, performance monitoring, tuning, and Database diagnostics.
Database application designs- like Transportable tablespace, Partition exchanges and management.
Supporting, domain leadership on Emergency Response calls (ERT), driving Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Preventative action follow-though, and participation in weekly operations reviews.
Developing and implementing Database security polices and procedures, in line with corporate objectives.
Regular proactive capacity planning and tending reviews of all oracle databases.
Projecting Estimation process - including attending project kick-offs and design reviews as necessary to appropriately size new environments, recommend infrastructure solutions and deliver associated cost and resource effort estimates.
Maintaining detailed technical documentation (e.g. standards, process, Run Books).
