Position: DB2 DBA

Location: East Hartford, CT

Duration: 12+ Months

Interview: Telephonic

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support DB2 LUW software installation, configuration, and maintenance of the database environments, UAT, Staging and Production
• Support deployment of vendor developed scripts into UAT, Staging and Production environments
• Problem analysis and resolution working with the Vendor and BEST Application Hosting Group
• Monitoring of DB2 LUW environments
• Performance analysis and tuning of the DB2 LUW
• Support change management processes
• Create, modify and maintain DB2 LUW Database documentation and technology process flow diagrams
• Create, modify and maintain DB2 LUW Database support procedures

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

•              DB2LUW database administration on Redhat Linux

•              DB2LUW experience in SQL performance analysis and tuning

•              Experiencewith DB2 LUW HADR implementations

•              Experience  in Redhat Linux OS and shell scripting

•              Experiencein DB2 LUW database replication methods

•              Plus- experience with DB2 LUW Purescale implementations

•              Plus– experience with DB2 LUW version 10

•              Plus- experience with Quest DB2 tools

•              Strongoral and written communication skills
