Description:

The job of a SharePoint Developer involves building and configuring SharePoint websites using web UI or SharePoint Designer and developing code for SharePoint. They are responsible for developing applications around the core concepts of business process management, collaboration, business intelligence or enterprise content management.

This individual should have a passion for software development & innovation and be capable of working with minimal oversight on enterprise projects and enhancing existing applications. The following job responsibilities would apply to this position:

 

Responsibilities

•        Responsible for designing, coding, modifying, and evaluating Microsoft.NET and SharePoint solutions

•        Performs coding and tests/debugs applications and programs

•        Performs Full Systems Life Cycle, (plan, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain) effectively

•        Works with internal stakeholders and IS development team

•        UI development - focus is using tools and functionality that come with SharePoint product. Some custom development (drop lists, manipulation, etc).

•        Some web part development using C#

•        Interacting with users to define and gather requirements

•        Documentation and deployment of solutions

 

Requirements

·         Minimum 3-5 years' experience in design, implementation and administration of SharePoint Portal Server 2003 and SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007.

·         Minimum 1 year experience with SharePoint 2010.

·         Experience with search functionality in SharePoint. Microsoft Search Server (MSS), SharePoint 2010 a bonus.

·         Experience with styling in SharePoint

·         Visual Studio .NET 2010 / C#

·         Experience with SQL Server 2008

·         SharePoint Site Administration (SP2010)

·         SharePoint Feature Deployment (SP2010)

·         Shared Services Configuration (SP2010)

·         Site Branding (SP2010)

·         Social Media Integration/Configuration (SP2010)

·         Custom Web Parts Development (SP2010)

·         Taxonomy (SP2010)

·         SharePoint Designer

·         Visual Studio .NET 2010 / C#

·         .NET 2.0/3.5

·         ASP.NET 2.0 User Controls, Master Pages, Web Services

·         WSS 3.0/Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (legacy sites)

·         SharePoint Object Model

·         Custom Web Parts

·         Content Types

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·         Effectively works in teams as well as independently
