Job Title: Sr. Project Manager
Location: Pittsburg, PA
Duration: 6 months
Job description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to work within an established PMO in our IMS division. The successful candidate must have managed several software engineering projects and played an active role in the SDLC, including Design, Development, Estimating and Change Management. Knowledge and experience in companies with data analytics or business intelligence departments/products would be an advantage. This position requires the ability to manage multiple software development projects. A working knowledge of project scheduling tools would be beneficial.
Required Skills:
· Requires a four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
· Minimum of ten years overall related information technology experience with at least five years of experience in development management or project management focused on large-scale software systems
· Experience using an agile/iterative approach for product/project development and implementation efforts
· Strong people, communication and presentation skills including the ability to articulate and facilitate technical, business, clinical and analytical discussions across all disciplines
· Ability to act independently, taking accountability for their and others work, yet communicate closely with management for status and direction setting
· Experience' wearing multiple hats” – i.e. a diverse set of responsibilities apart from purely being a Project Manager
· Demonstrated ability to deliver a product to the marketplace
· Demonstrated ability to salvage a troubled project
· Strong background in one or more areas of a project including: software development, QA, business analysis, product support, systems integration, etc.
· Experience managing medium to complex software product development project involving :workflow
· Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
· Organized, detail-oriented problem solver, with good time management skills
· Proficiency using Project Scheduling tools
· PMP Certification highly beneficial
