Web Software Developer (Jasper Report Developers)
Boston, MA (Must be Local to MA/RI/NH)
12 Months Longterm Contract

Position Summary:
The Department is seeking Jasper Report Developers to:
Create complex interactive reports using Jasper Reports Studio, Reports Server
Develop new interactive dashboards,  data warehousing components and report management components
Develop Business intelligence Reports
Troubleshoot, fix, and test issues/defects - resulting from either the change control process or production activities

Skills
Strong knowledge and experience in Jasper Reports Designer and other Jasper Tools
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Jasper Server Administration (installation, configuration and optimization)
Sound Knowledge on RDBMS, SQL.
Configure Jasper Reports Server security
Experience in following tools/ technologies & frameworks preferred: Eclipse, JAVA, XML, HTML iReports, Java Server Faces, Facelets, Spring
Application/Portal server: Weblogic 10.x
RDBMS: Oracle 10g
Good knowledge of J2EE design patterns and web services
Knowledge of Java community tools/frameworks/app. Servers  preferred but not a requirement: Subversion
 
Experience
Six to eight years of system development experience in Java technologies
Experience with web service development will be a plus

Education:
At a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree with a major in the field of computer or information science.
