One ofour major initiatives for 2014 might involve switching some of our enterpriseplatforms therefore our expectation is that new developers joining the team,have a solid development foundation to quickly pick up new platforms (hence ourrequirement for 5 years of application development experience).
• The successful candidate will be functioning as a SharePoint/.NET Developerand will be involved in the architecture, design, development andimplementation of solutions.
• This position will work alongside other SharePoint engineers and technicalteam members, to design, build, support, and enhance internal and externalfacing SharePoint collaboration and web publishing solutions.
• The right individual will have strong technical knowledge of SharePoint 2010architecture, engineering, and administration.
• This role requires excellent communication skills with a focus oncollaboration as well as the ability to work closely with the team.
• The candidate should also have strong initiative, solid judgmentcapabilities, and a desire to continually grow their technical knowledge aroundSharePoint.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Expertise in both SharePoint 2007 and 2010
• Experience building Web Parts in .Net framework for SharePoint
• Experience with SharePoint designer for site development
• Experience with Windows SharePoint Web Services
• Good knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services and Integration Services (SSRSand SSIS)
• Knowledge of advanced features such as Custom Workflows, InfoPath/FormsServices and Excel Services
• Experience developing both extranet and intranet sites
• Advanced knowledge on Microsoft Office, especially as they are required forintegration with SharePoint
• Knowledge of Team Foundation Server for source control
• Knowledge of Test Driven development, User Story and QA validations
• Ability to understand and develop technical design and project estimates frombusiness requirements document
• Engage with business users to elicit requirements and document requirementsas needed. Maintain a good working relationship with business users and peers
• Responsible for taking a project through the entire lifecycle from inceptionto production while performing all controlling activities.
• Identifies and manages dependencies and downstream impacts communicates anyrisks or issues associated with the development activities
REQUIREMENTS:
• Three (3) plus years of experience in designing and developingenterprise-wide application using MS SharePoint (SharePoint 2007/2010).
• Five (5) plus years of experience in application development.
• Experience with taxonomy planning (Web applications, site collections,document libraries, content type, site columns, and search).
• Experience in developing custom Web parts and/or Web applications (HTML,ASP.NET, CSS, XML, JavaScript) and development of solution packages.
• Experience in applying software development lifecycle, including analysis,design, configuration, development, and unit testing using Microsofttechnologies.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, AD security, TCP/IP, DNS, Load balancer,Firewall, and SMTP.
• Strong analytic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements and processes intoeffective SharePoint solutions.
• Excellent team player with ability to work with multiple vendors and internaldepartments.
• Outstanding customer service skills, excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills.
