KEY OBJECTIVES & RESPSONSIBILITIES

 

This role requires developing, maintaining and managing all internal enterprise systems and tools spanning the following areas – company websites, product content delivery and management systems, collaboration sites, intranet, extranet applications etc.

This position expects high levels of creativity and ingenuity to implement quality solutions, and maintain mission-critical business applications.

The chosen individual will determine, create and be responsible for specifications, designs, implementations and tests for all solutions.

 

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

·         PHP 5.x, MySQL 5

·         XML, XSL, CSS, XHTML, HTML, Java Script, Perl

·         Drupal Customization

·         Mobile portals Experience.

 

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS

·         Platforms and Servers – Linux, Sun Solaris, Apache, IIS

·         Knowledge of model-view-controller architecture and development frameworks such as Zend, CakePHP.

·         Hands-on work experience in one or more content management tools such as Joomla, Drupal, Magento, Alfresco, Interwoven, Ektron, Documentum, Vignette etc

·         Prior experience in building e-commerce, media or social networking portals

·         Experience in web services and SOA

·         Experience in performance tuning, caching and query optimization of web and database applications

·         Experience dealing with diverse user needs, use cases,workflows and user interface specifications

·         Experience working with UNICODE and developing software for multiple languages

·         Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, XP)

·         UML methods and OOD/OOA development tools

·         Subversion, Sourcegear Vault, Target Process, Dragnet, Bugzilla, etc.

·         Knowledge of developing and/or customizing SharePoint Portal, MOSS 2007 applications is strong plus
