Position: Abinitio Developer
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: Long-term min 6 months
Scope of position:
Detection, ingestion, transformation and output of content intended for the Thomson Reuters Global Product Search financial search engine.
Main Responsibilities:
- Understand business and technical requirements, and translate these into high quality Ab Initio-based solutions
- Understand the structure of content feed files from feed providers.
- Ingest and transform content feed files, store the output in intermediate repositories, and create output files intended for the search engine
- Build components in an Ab Initio Continuous Flows environment to ingest messages sent through a message-oriented middleware bus
- Create solutions for full and incremental content loading
- Use Java or .NET to create ancialliary solutions outside of Ab Initio to assist in end-to-end processing
- Troubleshoot issues
- Provide best practices guidelines for scalability and performance
- Provide guidance to other Ab Initio developers when needed, including code reviews
