Webservices on JBOSS and Weblogic is a must, with security.

Webservice - top -down approach is a must, bottom up is desired to know.

Design Patterns

JDBC

Ability to pick up at a fast pace.  

webservices is the key factor along with Core Java, JSF, Struts, JDBC, EJB
