Java/J2EE Developer

18 month contract

Charlotte, NC.

Must have 7 to 10 years Java/J2EE experience with UI Design and Development. Cannot use a Middleware or server side engineer on this project. Must Have the following skills: Flex, Java, Spring, Hibernate, Maven, Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL. Experience with Tibco and Cognos is helpful. Web Dev is an expert in their field and is typically either a individual contributor and/or a hands on team lead. The skills indicated here are required and must be recent. Project uses Flex, Spring and Hibernate. During tech screen they should be rated at least 8 out of 10 on their responses to tech questions. One of the Web Dev 6 candidates to be a hands on team lead/developer. Must have UI experience – cannot work with a Middleware or server side engineer on this project. Skills include Flex, Java, Spring, Hibernate, Maven, Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self starter. Does not require constant supervision. This level of engineer is considered to be an expert in their field. Works well in a dynamic, high pressure environment.

Acts as the highest-level technical expert on the development and implementation of highly complex, large-scale internet and intranet applications on diverse platforms
Uses expert knowledge of web technologies, including C++, Java, JavaScript, HTML, CGI, XML, Perl, ASP, multimedia applications, database modeling tools and/or database interactions
Evaluates systems specifications for client area web site requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution
Provides leadership in researching and tracking new web technologies, developing service applications, and analyzing business requirements as they pertain to web-based systems
Oversees system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards
Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.
