Job Title:Business Analyst with (Aggregate Spend) Exp.
Location: San Francisco, CA

Must have Skills:
  • Overall knowledge of various legislation on the HCP Spend transparency (Aggregate Spend) - Sunshine act and State legislation.
  • Familiarity with various data elements required to be reported in the Sunshine act and State report.
  • Knowledge of various business rules typically applied to generate Sunshine act reports/State reports.
  • Knowledge of one or more key business area/Source systems impacted by HCP spend transparency legislation - Commercial (Speaker events, Lunch & Learn, Interactions, Consulting engagement etc), R&D (clinical trial spend) .
  • Familiarity with datawarehouse and MDM (Customer Master) and reporting concepts.
  • Strong client communication.
 
Nice to Have Skills:
Ability to prepare SQL query and analyze large dataset is plus.
 
Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for working with business partners and stakeholders to define business requirements and document business rules. Performs work following the Client Methodology.
Activities performed by this role include:
  • Analyze/document current and future business process models.
  • Analyze/document high-level requirements (scope).
  • Analyze/document detailed functional requirements and business rules (use cases).
  • Analyze/document data requirements (from business needs perspective).
  • Develops Functional Specifications.
  • Works with technical team members to refine and finalize functional designs and business rules.
  • Works with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) team members to define test cases and scenarios.
  • Works with operations teams to define and develop business operation procedures.
  • Work within and across IT and collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, Developers, User Experience Designers and Software Quality Assurance on scope, solutions, constraints, and risks.
  • Perform knowledge transfer to training and communication teams and support user deployment activities as needed.
  • Ensures that the delivered solution fulfills the needs of the business by leading discussions involving business requirements.
  • Assists in determining the data integration system project scope, time and required resources.
  • Provides support and analysis of data collection, mapping, aggregation and balancing functions.
  • Performs requirements analysis, documentation, testing, ad-hoc reporting, user support and project leadership.
  • Produces detailed business process flows, functional requirements specifications and data models and communicates these requirements to the design and build teams.
  • Conducts cost/benefit assessments of the functionality requested by end-users.
  • Plans and authors user documentation.
  • Plan, prepare and conduct user acceptance test activities.
