Skills Requirements for all RNC openings Mandatory for All positions across:  

Engineer / Sr Engineer / Specialist/ Sr Specialist , RNC SW Development and Testing

Job Code : RNCUPSW—DEV

    §       BE/BTech/MTech/Electronics/Electrical/Information Science/Telecom
    §       2-8 years of experience in Telecom Software/Application Development, of that at least 1-3 years in 3G/UMTS Technology (NodeB/W-BTS, RNC)

    §       Work Exposure to 3GPP Rel 7 and above specifications
    §       Experience in 1 or more of the 3G User plane Protocols (RLC, MAC, FP, PDCP)
    §       Strong C programming skills
    §       Run Time optimization skills (for performance and memory), debugging tools know-how etc
    §       Usage of Continuous Integration tools
    §       Usage of Network monitoring tools for RAN interfaces (Nethawk etc)
    §      
    §       Desirable

        o       Programming on PQ2/DSP/Multicore Target platform

        o       Domain know-how: RNC, GSM (Userplane experience)

        o       SDLC Know-how: Iterative, Agile and Waterfall models

        o       Working /Development skills in HSxPA call scenarios ,

        o       Working know how of L3, RRM layers ,NAS messaging

        o       Exposure to TTCN scripting language

    §       BE/BTech/MTech/Electronics/Electrical/Information Science/Telecom
    §       2-6 years experience in Telecom Software/Application Testing, of that at least 1-3 years in 3G/UMTS Technology (NodeB/RNC)

    §       Work Exposure to 3GPP Rel 7 and above specifications
    §       Experience in one or more of the 3G User plane Protocols (RLC, MAC, FP, PDCP)
    §       In depth Knowledge of UMTS/HSPA call scenarios
    §       Usage of  Nethawk/Wireshark and Emil/IDA analyzers
    §       Good at debugging

    §       Desirable

        o       Domain know-how: RNC, GSM (User plane experience)

        o       Exposure to TCL/Expect/Shell Scripting
        o       Good at performance analysis of RNC

        o       SDLC Know-how: Iterative, Agile and Waterfall models

        o       Working knowledge of L3, RRM, NAS

Job Code : RNCUPSW—Architect

  •      BE/BTech/MTech/Electronics/Electrical/Information Science/Telecom
  • 9 - 12 years of relevant experience in the development, design and architecture of software for telecom/cellular wireless systems.
  • Good knowledge of C/C++ and structured design process.
  • Good knowledge of working of telecom network systems.
  • Good knowledge of 3GPP WCDMA/HSPA domain.
  • Prior experience of developing/architecting user plane/fast path/embedded solutions is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of 3GPP user plane protocols is an advantage.
  •  Prior experience of working in RAN (Radio Access Network) products such as BTS, BSC, RNC, or PCU is an advantage.
